The museum team advises you to discover:
– The triptyque du Maître de Moulins, major work of the early sixteenth century preserved in the sacristy of the Cathedral (Our Lady of the Annunciation) of Moulins.
– The Anne de Beaujeu Museum (MAB) and the Maison Mantin are managed by the General Council of Allier. Housed in the former enclosure of the Palace of the Dukes of Bourbon, they enjoy a prestigious setting and attract many visitors with its temporary exhibitions.
– The National Center for Stage Costume and Scenography (CNCS), a National Museum with exceptional collections of costumes related to shows: theater, opera, ballet …
– The Museum of Youth Illustration, (MIJ) It is at the same time a museum, a place of research, an exhibition place and a center of educational workshops. Newcomer to the Place Moulinoise, it is managed by the General Council of Allier:
– The chapel of the old Monastery of the Visitation, containing the tomb of the Duke of Montmorency and the magnificent ceiling painted trompe l’oeil by Rémy Vuibert. The Museum of the building, place of conservation of the collective memory of the trades of the Building.
